Gatorade Bryce Harper Virtual Reality Experience
With a 50-year history of innovating for athletes, Gatorade is committed to being at the forefront of marketing technology by engaging consumers unlike ever before with unparalleled immersive experiences and content.
As part of that, the leader in sports fueling, Gatorade, has partnered with OMD’s Zero Code and The Mill to create the first virtual reality experience that puts users in the shoes of Washington Nationals all-star Bryce Harper as he steps into the batter’s box at Nationals Park.
In addition to above, the three videos - one showing the 360 experience, one showing behind the scenes of making the virtual reality experience and one showing Bryce surprising a team in Washington D.C., are available on YouTube. Each video is linked below and accompanied by a brief descrpition.
360: Do you have what it takes to score in the bottom of the ninth inning with everything on the line? Step up to the plate and become Bryce Harper in this 360° video.
Behind the Scenes: The Gatorade Bryce Harper Virtual Reality Experience gives consumers the illusion of being at the ballpark by combining footage captured from inside an MLB stadium as well as authentic in-game audio from a Nationals home game. Here’s a behind-the-scenes preview of how the program was brought to life.
Surprise: Gatorade wanted to congratulate the Prince George R.B.I. Team on a great season, so they provided them with a surprise live demonstration of the Bryce Harper Virtual Reality Experience. What came next was the ultimate surprise – the opportunity to meet Bryce Harper.
