Gymnastics is a sport that requires constant dedication. Annie Hilton trained 30 hours a week at a mere 11 years old and was on her way to become a national name. While examining an injury, doctors discovered that Annie had an underlying condition that would require invasive surgery and one year of bed rest. Given that gymnastics is a sport where age is incredibly critical, it appeared that her gymnastics career was finished, but not in Annie's eyes. After one long year of no movement, losing everything that made her a gymnast, she was back in the gym, starting from scratch. Annie's incredible perseverance allowed her to surpass the level she competed at prior to surgery, winning several competitions. Annie's next goal is to a earn college gymnastics scholarship.
